What is this thing?

Thanks for tuning in. Sara and I are just trying to build community. In the face of syndemic (viral outbreak, environmental crisis, racial and other injustice), we are pedagogical kin working our way toward solutions by attempting to frame better questions.

If you are here, you probably know one or both of us from the twitters (@arsinoepi and @teachnext_tmb). Or maybe you’ve been in one of Sara’s classes. Or maybe you’ve been in a professional learning session with me. Whatever the case may be, we’re glad you’re here.

Why do this?

  • In short, we met each other in pondering our praxis. We defy our current circumstances to join in thought partnership by any means.
  • We hope this exercise will inspire others to do the same (maybe even with us) and sustain our culture of inquiry in resistance to oppressive schooling principles.

So, what is it? We call these mutual interviews – simply two humans asking each other questions and listening to understand one another and the significant connections of our work.

Feel free to return often as we work through our first steps and find a good rhythm. If you have something to ask or would like to hear us ask each other something, fill out the form on the Contact page.

Until then, enjoy the first interview [link]
